2003-11-10 12:00 - Prior to this date and time, some SCAN stations assumed a soil consistency of 'clay' in their soil moisture equations. But at a meeting of the Soil Moisture Team at WCC in October determined that an assumption of a soil consistency of 'silt' produced the most reliable soil moisure readings. The SHEF codes for these corrected values are vector codes with an element code beginning with 'MV'. These stations were remapped to the beginning of Water Year 2003.
